The brand’s origins trace back to 1951 when Shigemasu Ue, the grandfather of the current president, founded "Ue Glasses," setting the foundation for the brand’s journey. In 2019, the third-generation Ue Takayuki established the original "TOKIWA" brand, and in December 2021, it was rebranded as "TOKIWA made," representing a fresh start while preserving and evolving the family’s craftsmanship.
